Kari Hipsak, CPA, CGMA

Kari Hipsak, CPA, CGMA is a Senior Manager with GRF CPAs & Advisors with a focus on audit quality. Prior to joining GRF, Kari worked with the AICPA's Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS). She led content for accounting and auditing emerging issues, including content for COVID recovery programs.  Kari started her public accounting career in South Dakota and later worked for a firm in New York City where she focused on A&A clients in an array of industries. She has been an active advocate of the CPA profession since her time as a student at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD and is a former member of the NC Association of CPA (NCACPA) Young CPA Cabinet and sat on the NCACPA Foundation Board. Kari has been honored as a member of CPA Practice Advisor's "40 Under 40" program since 2020. Passionate about well-being, Kari is a mental health and emotional intelligence advocate. She actively provides outreach and support to those impacted by chronic illness or autism; passions that reflect some of the largest influences on her life. Her love of dogs has also led her to volunteering with a local dog rescue. In December 2024, she will complete the Master of Accounting (MAC) program at UNC-Chapel Hill.
